		<description>Yes, you&#039;re right. That&#039;s some research that needs to be done. And in general, I think there needs to be a lot more dialogue among faculty in two- and four-year institutions. We have a lot to learn from each other.</description>

		<description>Traditionally, the second writing course required of all students who seek a four-year degree deals with researched writing.  Since the 80s the course has dealt almost exclusively with the research paper at most four-year institutions, but I have been suprised to learn how many community college still teach it the old way: as a literary genres course with a research paper component.  It would be interesting to see if there is a difference between how community college students see sources and citation issues (coming from a literary paper perspective in their Freshman writing experience) as opposed to students from four-year institutions (who come from a writing across the curricula or rhetoric course perspectives primarily).</description>
